Minor Ailments Service
Walk in any time to access our Minor Ailments Service. Eligible individuals can consult our team of pharmacists for advice, and in some cases, receive free medication to treat certain conditions.
The Minor Ailments Service is available for:
Children under 14 years old, and any whānau members experiencing the same symptoms. (For example, if your tamariki has scabies, our pharmacists may also provide medicine for other members of your household who are showing similar symptoms, so everyone can get better together).
Community Services Card (CSC) holders, or children of CSC holders aged between 15-17 years.
Māori and Pacific people.
Under this service, you can see us for advice and treatment for a variety of minor health issues including:
Skin conditions like eczema, scabies, and fungal infections.
Eye inflammation and infections, including conjunctivitis.
Pain and fever (children).
Diarrhoea (and dehydration, often caused by vomiting or diarrhoea).
Urinary tract infections (for females between 16-65 years).
Head lice (nits).
You can see us for many other minor conditions as well. If you have any concerns about you or your family’s health, pop in and see us.
